FAQ's

  • Please allow at least two weeks of hair growth prior to your first visit. Hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch long, preferably 1/2 inch.
  • Be aware that some skincare products and or medications may cause the skin to thin, causing an adverse reaction to your waxing service. These include but are not limited to Acutane, Alpha or Beta Hydroxy Acids (glycolic, salicylic...etc.), Antibiotics, Cold/Allergy Medication, Benzoyl Peroxide, Differin, Retin A/Retinol. Please inform your technician if you are currently or have used any of these products in the last year.
  • Limit your caffeine intake the day of your appointment. Caffeine can stimulate the nervous system and make waxing more painful.
  • Waxing on or near your menstrual cycle can be more painful, so please schedule your appointments wisely. I can still perform the service just be aware that you may be more sensitive.
  • A pain reliever/anti-inflammatory may be taken 30 minutes prior to your appointment to minimize discomfort.
  • Please avoid sun exposure 24 hours both before and after your appointment.
  • Avoid heat 24 hours after a wax. This includes working out, it produces sweat which carries bacteria into the pore and can irritate skin after waxing. Also avoid saunas, steam, and hot tubs for one day following a wax.
  • You must be 18 years or older to receive a waxing service without the consent of a parent.
  • No question is a dumb question. If your question has not been covered in these FAQ's please feel free to call or text me with any questions that you may have regarding waxing.
